The Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc. will once again hold the Gabii sa Kabilin (Night of Heritage) for its fifth consecutive year this Friday, May 27, 2011.

11 museums and 7 heritage sites will be showcased from 6 p.m. to midnight for an annual nighttime tour in Cebu.

Gabii sa Kabilin aims to reinforce the belief that local museums are venues for the understanding and appreciation of Cebuano history and culture, but beyond that, it also eliminates the idea of museums as repositories of dead objects, rather, as venues for live cultural activities. The award-winning Gabii sa Kabilin, being one of its kind in the Philippines and in Asia, is organized in celebration of the National Heritage Month and International Museum Day in May.
